Marin Education Fund believes everyone should have a chance at college. We advocate for equal educational opportunity for everyone in the Marin community and support students in need to successfully access, pursue and complete higher education.

To carry out our mission, we provide college access programs, scholarships and recipient support to students of all ages. Students who receive assistance from Marin Education Fund are from low- income households in Marin County. These students are frequently the first-generation of their family to go to college and are from groups who have been traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

Founded in 1981, Marin Education Fund has distributed 27,000 scholarships to Marin residents totaling $36 million. Since 1986, Marin Education Fund has been affiliated with Marin Community Foundation and receives major funding from the Foundation.

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to oversee the design, planning, development and evaluation of Marin Education Fund’s scholarship and student support programs. This position is responsible for leading and managing a dynamic team in implementing strategy and achieving the desired outcomes. This position supervises the Scholarships and Donors services associate, and the Scholarships and student support associate.

Associate, Scholarships and Donor Services

REPORTS TO: Manager, Financial Aid and Student Support

Position Purpose:

The purpose of this position is two-fold: 1) implement the scholarship processing, selection and awards process including providing student support and, 2) coordinate Marin Education Fund’s special and donor advised scholarship programs.
