Student & Alumni Opportunities

Do you want to get some great work experience, and help other students get into college? There are a number of upcoming opportunities to get involved with 10,000 Degrees, and inspire students to follow you on the path to college.

College Academy Student Advisor

The Student Advisor participates in the implementation of the College Academy, a program that assists rising ninth graders, who are first generation to attend college by preparing them to successfully transition to high school and plan to attend college. The intensive four‐week experience will be held at Dominican University of California from July 6th – 30th 2010. Beginning July 6th, student advisors will be on the campus of Dominican University of California, everyday Monday through Friday from 1:00pm – 5:00PM.

Student Intern (year round)

This year round position assists in the 10,000 Degrees office by greeting students, assisting with student outreach and follow up and many other opportunities.  We will work with your schedule but generally need someone M, T, Th from 1-5pm.

Student Panelist

Don’t have a lot of time, but still want to be involved.  We have several opportunities for current students to serve on a student panel sharing your experiences and advice about college life.

All of the positions have a paid stipend and are great opportunities to learn new things, as well as build your resume.
