Your Gift of College Opportunity Changes Lives Forever.
As a member of the Laurel Scholarship Society, you make good on
the pledge that Everyone should have a chance at college by
giving the opportunity to attend college to one or more qualified
students. Your investment of $5,000 or more each year for four
years, will enable these scholars, many of whom are the first in
their family to attend college, to achieve their dream of attaining
a college degree.
When
you give this opportunity to one or more scholars, you change many
lives. You change the life of a student like Nicole, a Redwood
High School senior, who lacks the financial resources to pay for
college. With your support, Nicole will realize her dream, and
in doing so, you change the lives of Nicole’s family
and the students she will eventually inspire as a college-educated
member of our community.
Laurel Society donors like you send a simple but powerful
message, “I
believe in you.”
Many of the students we help, like
Nicole, are the first in their families to attend college. Your
annual gift gives students both the financial and moral support
they need to succeed in college.
Your annual contribution yields one of the most impressive returns
on investment you can possibly receive:
- When one first
generation college student graduates college, you have just broken
the cycle of poverty for that family and for future generations,
and;
- For every dollar invested
in a college education, the state of California will reap three
times that amount.
By giving someone the chance at
college, you help make your community a better place to live.
Membership is easy. Simply commit to providing scholarships support
of $5,000 or more each year for at least four years. 100% of
your gift will be awarded directly to one or more Laurel Scholarship
Scholars.
There are more than 1,900
students in Marin that need your help to get to college.
You can help one person right now.
