Endowed Scholarships

With a contribution of $25,000 or more, a donor may establish an Endowed Scholarship to honor the donor's designee. An Endowed Scholarship helps carry on the legacy of a significant family member, mentor, colleague or friend, while providing scholarship support in our community in perpetuity.

  • Assets are invested in such a way as to grow—distributions are made based on a spending rule calculation of 5% of an average 12-month market value.
  • Donors can elect to establish simple scholarship criteria.
  • Recipients are chosen from the large annual pool of applicants to Marin Education Fund's Undergraduate or Professional and Technical Training scholarship programs.
