Summer Application Institute (SAI) is a FREE 1-week college dormitory experience held every August to help aspiring students develop successful college and financial aid applications. Students learn to:

• Find the right college
• Prepare for the SATs
• Write a successful college entrance essay
• Pay for college

Our 8th Annual Summer Application Institute took place July 31- August 4 at Dominican University of California. This year's institute served 60 students. The week concluded with a moving Closing Ceremony. Students were divided into three groups and each presented poems or stories capturing the spirit and activities of the week. Eligibility

• Open to sophomores and juniors who live and/or attend a high school in Marin County.
• Are first generation to attend college in the U.S. (meaning neither parent has earned a degree from a 4-year college in the U.S.).
• Student is from a family with significant financial need.

Application Requirements

• No G.P.A. requirement
• One page essay
• Letter of recommendation from teacher or counselor
• Current high school transcript
