Fact: 73% of Marin Education Fund scholarship recipients are first in their families to attend college.

 

Marin Education Fund provides undergraduate scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per academic year to students with significant financial need who are enrolled in a minimum of 9 units per semester. The scholarship is renewable for up to six years for students who demonstrate academic progress.

The deadline for the 2008-09 undergraduate scholarship has now passed.

When you apply for a Marin Education Fund Undergraduate Scholarship, you are automatically considered for these other scholarships. No additional paperwork is required. We will notify you if you qualify:

Betty Times Education Scholarship

Purpose: Assist students who are African American/Black with postsecondary education.
Eligibility criteria: Students under the age of 25. Minimum 2.0 G.P.A.
Award: Up to $2,000

Dolores C. Swoyer Scholarship

Purpose and Eligibility: To provide financial assistance to undergraduate studies.
Award: $2,500  (renewable annually)

Kai Chong Tong Scholarship

Purpose and Eligibility: Provide financial assistance to Chinese American students who are pursuing their undergraduate education at San Francisco State University. Must be a San Francisco State University student of Chinese American descent.
Award: Up to $1,000

North Bay Council/Roger Grossman Scholarship for Community Service

Purpose and Eligibility:  To assist community service-minded students pursuing postsecondary education or training for a business-related degree. Must be a Marin or Sonoma county high school senior interested in a business-related degree who have a demonstrated financial need.
Award: $1,500 - $2,500
