Professional and Technical Training Scholarship is $3,206.
Marin Education Fund offers professional and technical training scholarships for students enrolled in training programs working towards license or certification who demonstrate significant financial need. The scholarship ranges from $1000 to $5000 depending on the student’s enrollment status for the year. The scholarship helps to cover the cost of tuition, cost of living, and educational expenses such as books and equipment.
Eligibility:
- Marin County residency
- Applicants must be attending a training program at an accredited
or state-approved training institution pursuing a license
or certificate and enrolled either part-time or full-time (as
defined by the institution)
- Applicants are not eligible if they have
already attained their bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have your GED/high school diploma or be 18 years of age
Application Requirements:
- Professional & Technical
Training Scholarship Application. Applications will be available
June 1, 2008 for the 2008-09 academic year.
- Enrolls part-time
or full-time (as defined by the institution)
- Pursues a professional
or technical certificate or license.
Application Deadline:
- Our next funding cycle begins July 1, 2008 for programs during
the 2008-09 academic year. You may submit your application beginning
July 1, 2008. Applications are accepted on a rolling deadline.
- We require up to 60 days to process applications and recommend that applicants
submit their application at least two months in advance of their start date.
