Professional & Technical Training Scholarships
10,000 Degrees regrettably will not offer our Professional & Technical Training Scholarship for vocational programs during the academic year 2010-2011. Limited funding is available for these programs through the Sausalito Rotary Educational Scholarship, which 10,000 Degrees administers. Please read the eligibility requirements carefully to determine if you qualify. Applications will be available on this website starting July 1, 2010.
Eligibility:
- Marin County resident residing in Sausalito, Tiburon, Mill Valley, or Marin City
- Attending a training program at an accredited or state-approved training institution pursuing a license or certificate
- Enrolled part- or full-time as defined by the institution
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have a GED/high school diploma or be 18 years of age
- Applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree are not eligible
Application Requirements:
- Complete Professional & Technical Training application
- Proof of Enrollment form completed by applicant’s school
- Financial Aid form completed by applicant’s school
- Applicant’s and applicant’s parent(s)’ or spouse’s 2009 tax returns
- Attend an interview if selected as a finalist
- Incomplete applications cannot be reviewed. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all application materials are postmarked by the deadline.
Application Deadline:
- All applications must be postmarked by September 1, 2010.
- Applications will not be considered after this date.
