Marin Education Fund: Everyone should have a chance at college.Photo collage of graduating students

It takes just one hour a month to help a student get to college.

“Since I met my mentor, my senior year of high school has not been as stressful as I thought it would be. She is helping me in a big way.” – Jennifer Adams

You can make a difference in a student’s life by becoming a mentor!

A unique feature of the Summer Application Institute is its Mentoring Program. This program matches Summer Application Institute students with their own Marin Education Fund adult volunteer mentor.

As a mentor, you will receive training from Marin Education Fund to help students get the support and information they need to get to college. Click here to view current Mentor Trainings & Events.

As a mentor, you will:

  • Read essays and applications
  • Help students meet deadlines
  • Give advice about college choices
  • Direct students to scholarship resources
  • Tell students, “I believe in you!”

Apply now! Download Mentor Application.

One of the biggest gifts you can give is the gift of your time. Volunteer today!
